1. Is PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer a new product?
No. PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer has been sold for more than twenty years. It was originally brought to industry and sold in 55-gallon drums; then was sold on one of the major home shopping channels, and was also sold for more than 10 consecutive years in popular mail-order catalogs.
2. What is PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer?
PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer is an industrial strength water-based polymer finish.
3. Can PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer be used on any floor?
*PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer works great on most sealed and non-porous floors. Sealed hardwood, vinyl, linoleum, no-wax, laminates, bamboo, flagstone, concrete, slate, ceramic tile, and most other sealed and non-porous floors. Floors vary greatly and you should always test PRO SHOT® in an inconspicuous area first and wait a few days to be sure you are getting good adhesion and the desired results. If you want the floor to shine more brilliantly, you can apply a second coat, but only after the first coat is 100% dry.
* New floors usually come with a warranty. You should always check with the floor manufacturer beforehand to be sure you can use a water-based polymer finish. Unfortunately, some floor manufacturers don’t recommend using any type of floor polishes, waxes, or finishes. PRO SHOT® has been successfully used on most sealed and non-porous floors for decades. Some floors may require machine scrubbing or sanding to completely remove. This is usually due to the floor not being properly sealed.
4. I’m concerned about the dangers of petroleum. Do PRO SHOT® products contain petroleum?
No, PRO SHOT® products contain no petroleum. They are water-based products, making them safer for everyone.
5. How do I apply PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer?
Begin by removing all previous products. Clean and dry floor. Apply PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer to a clean and dry floor using a sponge mop. Pour PRO SHOT® directly onto the floor and simply glide the sponge mop back and forth. Do not put any pressure on the mop to prevent air bubbles, and do not work the product into the floor. Move along quickly and do not leave puddles. Do not go back over any area until it has dried completely. PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer was designed to adhere to the surface of the floor. NOTE: If you have used oil, soap, or previous wax products or cleaners in the past, it’s very important to remove those products before applying PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer.
6. Can I apply PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer with an ordinary string mop?
No. Do not use a string mop to apply PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer or it will dry with streaks.
7. Can I apply PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer to a wet floor?
No, do not apply PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer to a damp or wet floor. The floor must be completely dry before application. If you do apply it to a wet floor, the floor may not shine.
8. Can PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer be applied over a previously waxed floor?
No. You should first remove the previous wax. Always clean and dry the floor, and then apply PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer. PRO SHOT® needs a clean dry non-porous floor to stick to.
9. How often should I reapply PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer?
This will vary for several reasons. The amount of traffic and the amount of abuse to your floor will determine how often you apply PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer. If you have kids or pets, you’ll need to apply PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer more often than someone without kids or pets.

Yes, PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer will help protect your floors from spills, powdering, yellowing, black heel marks, detergents, coffee and tea stains. However, you must clean up spills immediately and always keep the floor dry.
11. Will PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer hide the scratches in my floor?
PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer covers surface scratches making them less noticeable. PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer dries to a clear brilliant finish.
12. Why is PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer peeling from my floor?
There are two reasons why this could happen. First, there was a product that you previously used still on the floor. Maybe, oil or soap was previously used. Make sure you remove prior products from the floor before you apply PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer. Second, you may have applied PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer too thin and there isn’t enough product to stick to the floor. Do not use harsh cleaners to maintain PRO SHOT®.
13. Why did PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer dry with streaks?
There are two reasons why this could happen.
First, PRO SHOT® was applied with a string mop. Do not apply with a string mop. Second, you went back over an area before PRO SHOT® completely dried. PRO SHOT® is a water-based finish and it dries fast. Move along quickly when applying and do not go back over any areas until PRO SHOT® dries completely. Wait for PRO SHOT® to dry, and if needed, apply a second coat, but only after the first coat dries.
14. How do I remove PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer from my baseboard or counter-top?
You can try an alkaline cleaner on a rag. You need to wipe it back and forth lightly, but be quick. Always test an inconspicuous area first.

PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer may be totally removed with a floor stripper that’s designed to remove a water-based acrylic polymer finish. You’ll want to use a floor stripper designed to remove a water-based acrylic polymer finish and one that is designed for your specific type of floor. For instance, if you have a wood floor, be sure to use a floor stripper that is safe for wood floors, and be sure to follow the manufacturer’s directions. Some floors may require sanding or machine scrubbing to completely remove. This is usually due to the floor not being properly sealed.
17. I have a bottle of PRO SHOT® Floor Restorer that is 12 years old. Is it still good?
No. Do not use. If the bottle has been stored properly, i.e. stored in a stable environment, cap is on tight, not freezing, not in direct sunlight, etc., it's best when used within three years.
